“Shelly Rexroat is an audacious optimist who navigates the difficulties of life by looking for silver linings and finding humor to soften the rough edges of hard times. Given the choice to laugh or cry, her booming laughter can be heard throughout home or wherever she is found. Her insatiable curiosity has led her through a variety of adventures, such as being a Senate Intern, completing a student work exchange in Ireland, becoming a software developer then technology leader, writing poetry, and writing books. Growing up, she spent time on stage and in the spotlight for musicals, plays, church choir, piano recitals, twirling in the marching band, gymnastics meets, and dance recitals. The daughter of an entrepreneur, coming from a family of deep faith, and experiencing intense corporate life and health challenges, gave her a purpose driven leadership style. While sometimes covering a broad range of subjects, her writing generally orbits around a few main things - help people, simplify complicated things, add beauty wherever possible, and make the world a better place, with bonus points if it includes fun, laughter, creativity, innovation, and adventure! She grew up in New Mexico and currently lives in Texas with her husband, who works in physical therapy and coaches cheerleading as a hobby, having won national college cheerleading competitions.”
